Matt Sheppard collects Thunder on the Thruway victory at Utica-Rome Speedway

Matt Sheppard won the 30 lap Thunder on the Thruway Thunder on the Thruway at the Utica-Rome Speedway on Friday. This was Matt's twelfth win of the season, fouth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and first Thunder on the Thruway win of the season. For the 40 year old Sheppard it was their sixty-fouth win putting him first on the Utica-Rome Speedway win list since 1997.
Finishing 1.3690 seconds behind in second was Billy Decker. This was Billy's sixth Top 5 of the season, fifth at Utica-Rome Speedway this year, and second Thunder on the Thruway Top 5 of the season.
Finishing third was Andy Bachetti, their twelfth top 5 of the year.
Finishing fourth was Willy Decker, their second top 5 of the year.
Finishing fifth was Alex Payne, their tenth top 5 of the year.
Cody Clark, Pat Ward, Alan Johnson, Rocky Warner, and Bobby Hackel IV rounded out the top 10.
