Matt Sheppard won the 50 lap Short Track Super Series North Dave Machuga Memorial Outlaw Showdown at the Outlaw Speedway on Thursday. This was Matt's tenth win of the season, second at Outlaw Speedway this year, and first Short Track Super Series North win of the season. For the 42 year old Sheppard it was their fifty-first win putting him second on the Outlaw Speedway win list since 1991. Finishing 0.6860 seconds behind in second was Stewart Friesen. This was Stewart's eighteenth Top 5 of the season, first at Outlaw Speedway this year, and third Short Track Super Series North Top 5 of the season. Finishing third was Alex Yankowski, their twenty-fifth top 5 of the year. Finishing fourth was Bobby Varin, their fouth top 5 of the year. Finishing fifth was David Hebert, their tenth top 5 of the year. Anthony Perrego, Michael Maresca, Jeffery Daugherty, Mat Williamson, and Tommy Collins Jr. rounded out the top 10.
