Stewart Friesen Parks It In Victory Lane at Volusia Speedway Park

Under the Florida lights, Stewart Friesen put on a show at Volusia Speedway Park, taking the victory in the DIRTcar Nationals DIRTcar Nationals Night 1. taking full advantage of the pole, Friesen claimed the checkered flag. The triumph was worth $5,000.

crossing the stripe in second was Felix Roy of Napierville, QUE, crossing the line 1.5260 seconds behind the leader. Erick Rudolph of Ransomville, NY rounded out the podium in third. Rounding out the top five were Mat Williamson of St. Catherines, ONT and Jack Lehner of Saratoga Springs, NY.

Matt Sheppard worked their way forward 20 spots to finish seventh. After Duane Howard set the quick time (17.387 seconds), the field was led to the green by pole sitter Stewart Friesen. Starting alongside on the front row was Felix Roy. Felix Roy set the fastest lap of the race with a time of 17.550 seconds. Finishing sixth through tenth were Larry Wight, Matt Sheppard, Alex Payne, Jimmy Phelps, and Billy Pauch Jr..
