BREWERTON, NY…Billy Decker won his second straight DIRT Modified feature at Brewerton Speedway last Friday on Pick-N-Pull Auto Parts/Avon Products of Oswego County Night. Decker took the lead away from a strong running Frankie Caprara on lap 14 and never gave it up. With the win Decker increases his point lead in the season long standings slightly over Alan Johnson.
Ryan Bartlett raced out to the early lead at the start of the 35 lap DIRT Modified feature from the outside pole starting position. The young driver led the opening three laps of the main event before Pat Ward took over on lap four. With 10 laps complete Ward continued to lead with Caprara, Decker, Jimmy Phelps and Scott Prentice following in the top five.
Caprara became the third leader of the race on lap 11. The young driver from Watertown, N.Y. was turning in his best performance of the season by leading the Brewerton talented field. Decker struggled a bit in the early season at Brewerton, but that is now history.
