FULLER POWERS TO SECOND DIRT 358 MODIFIED WIN OF 2003 DURING THE HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR
FULTON, NY...Tim Fuller recorded his second Fulton Speedway DIRT 358 Modified feature win of the season last Saturday during the Holiday Spectacular. Fuller came charging from the 18th starting position to the lead in just seven circuits. The driver of the B&F General Machine car used the top side of the track to perfection, passing several cars per lap. The win for the Edwards, N.Y. driver was worth $1,500 in the 35-lap event.
Andy Powell led the opening circuit of the DIRT 358 Modified feature from the pole starting position. Pete Taylor passed Powell on lap two to lead the 26-car starting field. After five circuits Taylor continued to lead and was being followed in the top five by Fuller, Jim Larock, Jeremy Smith and Dave Reilley. It was on lap seven when Fuller took the top spot away from Taylor after charging from the 18th starting position.
Once in front Fuller never lost his momentum as he went on to his second win of the season at the Home of the Dynomax Victoria 200. Jeremy Smith recorded a strong second place finish in moving up from the 14th starting position. Dale Planck continued his string of top finishes with a third place effort. Alan Johnson had to settle for a fourth place finish while Jimmy Phelps completed the top five feature finishers in the quality field.
Danny Johnson came from the 22nd starting position to finish sixth. Todd Burley, Tom Kinsella, John Barker and Dave Reilley crossed the finish line in positions sixth through tenth respectively.
Donnie Wetmore Jr. claimed his second Fulton Speedway DIRT Sportsman feature win of the season last Saturday night. Jim Livingston, Ryan Richardson, Tim Sears and Eric Richardson completed the top five feature finishers behind Wetmore. Wetmore came charging from the fourth starting position to lead the opening circuit and he went on to lead the entire 20-lap distance.
T.J. Fitzgibbons passed Pat Hobbs on the final circuit to win the 20-lap DIRT Pro Stock feature race. Ricky Breed, Jeremy Clark and Rick Daunehauer completed the top five feature finishers behind Fitzgibbons and Hobbs.
Phil Marsden returned to the winners circle at the conclusion of the 15-lap Pure Stock finale. Russ Marsden, Todd Storace, Mark Davison and Joe Buske finished in positions second through fifth respectively. Marsden made the move for the win on lap 13 as he passed Storace.
Dan Hoffman Sr. was the winner of the Four Cylinder Enduro. Matt Parker, Mike Ryan, Troy Engerbretsen and Chad Guthrie completed the top five finishers.
Racing will continue this Saturday at Fulton Speedway with the DIRT 358 Modifieds, DIRT Sportsman, DIRT Pro Stocks and Pure Stocks all in competition. Ladies Races will also be contested on Terrell's Potato Chips Night.
